A company in Liberty, SC is looking for a Repair Tech with strong DC circuitry experience. 2+ years of experience doing component level repairs on highly complex circuit boards, including soldering and surface mount repairs is what this company will require in return for a lot of opportunity and growth with a well established company.
This position has the good kind of turnover due to internal promotions, so if you’ve got a few years of experience dealing specifically with the type of electrical work mentioned above (general electrical work won’t qualify unfortunately), and you want a company who will help you grow through promotions or education, consider applying.
DUTIES
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot damaged or non-functional circuit boards
- Use previous experience Oscilloscope and DVM to troubleshoot circuit boards
- Input customer returns into the database
- Unpack and organize customer returns based on damages
- Ensure all applicable standards are maintained during returns process
- Provide mentoring and direction to Junior Repair Technicians
- Audit database for discrepancies regarding returns
- Provide feedback on circuit board designs
- Prefer a 2-year technical degree in electronics, but will consider prior relevant experience (5 plus years) in a similar electronics repair environments
- Must have circuit board troubleshooting experience, not just repair experience
- Must have DC electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting experience, plus repair experience
- Must have experience in reading electrical schematics
- Must have wiring and soldering experience
- Must have experience using a multimeter and oscilloscope
- Must have basic programming skills to know how the circuits and boards work
- Able to work daily in Liberty, SC during regular day shift business hours (some flexibility for start/end times)
- $22-$35/hour DOE
