Day to Day:  
  • Provide technical and operational support of Microsoft 365 tenant and applications including, but not limited to, Office, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Endpoint Manager, OneDrive for Business, Power Apps, Azure AD, and other cloud services. 
  • Provides effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of diverse infrastructure across multiple locations to ensure continued and improved operations of network systems and configuration protocols. 
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging M365 and related core technologies; stay up to date and well-in-the-know regarding M365 updates and roadmaps.
  • Install, integrate, and configure various operating systems and applications.
  • Identify and analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Be responsible for monitoring various application dashboards and troubleshooting alerts and notifications from various systems. 
  • Perform regular network and system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing any identified or end user reported issues.
  • Utilize enterprise ticket management system for problem resolution, evidence capture, and trend analysis.
  • Assess, triage and provide tier II and III support on various technology related issues.  
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
  • Other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
 
 
Required Skill Sets:  
  • Ability to independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical business and executive leaders 
  • 5 years’ minimum experience working with M365 services, both functionally and technically 
  • Experience with, or knowledge, of various programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching 
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and information protection tools, Azure Identity services (Azure AD), rights management 
  • Intermediate to advanced PowerShell, Scripting and Automations experience  
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, AzureVM, VMWare, or equivalent 
  • Working knowledge of MS Intune for device management, application deployment, managing config profiles, and conditional access policies. 
  • Experience with MS Teams for managing users, numbers, call queues, policies, etc. 
  • Ability to support flexible work hours to support various mission objectives 
  • Ability to travel to other Blue Ridge Power facilities to support mission objectives as needed, sometimes on short notice 
  • Solid interpersonal skills in addition to high technical aptitude. 
     
Education and Certifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired. Verifiable military training may be substituted in lieu of degree. 
  • Technical certificates combined with 5-7 years progressive experience.  
  • (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, Azure, PMP, etc.)
